This is an image-to-image editing application with reference image control based on FLUX.2 Klein Reference Latent. Users upload a reference image / original image and enter an editing prompt. The system strikes a controllable balance between "reference image influence" and "prompt control" to output a new image that preserves the structural foundation of the original while applying modifications based on the prompt. Its core focus is neither simple face preservation nor ordinary image-to-image redrawing, but rather: how much of the original image to keep and how much the prompt should change can both be adjusted independently. The documentation also clearly states that this node group is not an identity preservation node, but a ReferenceLatent reference image control node: the left side controls "how heavy the reference image influence is", and the right side controls "whether the text or the reference image calls the shots".

It is particularly suitable for: structure-preserving retouching, changing scenes while preserving original structure, reference image upscaling, reference composition re-creation, content replacement within the same composition, and heavy reference image editing. By default, users are recommended to adjust only the three main inputs: reference image, editing prompt, and output clarity. If you encounter issues like "too similar to the original image and won't change" or "listening too much to the prompt causes the original image to drift", then go ahead and adjust the two advanced options: reference image control strength and text/reference image balance.
